About the role: magniX is seeking a Facility Specialist to join our Operations & Industrialization team. This role provides hands-on support for facility moves, equipment relocation and setup, and general receiving/shipping activities across our Everett site. As magniX's production floor and lab spaces continue to grow and reconfigure, this role ensures moves and facility changes happen safely, efficiently, and without disrupting production or test schedules.
This position reports to the Everett Site Manager within the Operations & Industrialization organization, and will work closely with EHS, Production, Test, and Engineering to support facility and equipment moves across the site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for facility equipment (HVAC, dock doors, forklifts, compressors, overhead cranes, etc.), including tracking completion and flagging deferred or missed items before they cause downtime.
- Support planning and execute general facility moves, including equipment relocation, workstation setup/teardown, and lab or production area reconfigurations.
- Support receiving and shipping activities, including preparation of incoming materials/equipment to be inspected as well as coordinating outbound shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts) safely and in accordance with EHS requirements.
- Support facility upkeep tasks, including basic maintenance requests, signage, floor marking, and housekeeping standards.
- Support planning and execution of general facility moves and upgrade projects, including equipment relocation, workstation setup/teardown, lab or production area reconfigurations, and layout changes as production needs evolve.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience safely operating material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, scissor/boom lift)
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, moving equipment, and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic familiarity with workplace safety practices (PPE use, safe lifting, hazard awareness); willingness to follow EHS guidance closely during moves and setups.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly around inventory accuracy and space planning.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also coordinating closely with multiple departments (Production, Test, Engineering, EHS).
- Basic computer skills for project tracking, work order systems, and email communication.
