Communication Strategist (Water Business Group)

Responsibilities- Develop content marketing strategies and communication plans for specific initiatives and projects to elevate thought leadership and highlight people and project work.
- Lead global and local communications strategies by collaborating with internal business partners, creative, marketing, and communications teams.
- Assist in the development and management of an editorial calendar.
- Work with subject‑matter experts to develop and write white papers, feature articles, thought‑leadership pieces, and social‑media posts.
- Ghost‑write and edit blogs, social‑media posts, papers, and presentations for subject‑matter experts.
- Help develop collateral pieces and other marketing‑campaign materials.
- Research, write, and edit project narratives and case studies.
- Monitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends and examples.
- Support event management where required.
- Bring genuine, creative ideas to the table.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a closely related field.
- Previous consulting and/or creative agency experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a communications field (social media, event planning, community engagement, target marketing, descriptive writing, public involvement, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple teams and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills with a positive outlook and attitude.
- High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues.
- Commitment to active participation in our employee‑owned culture.
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and tactically in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite.
