Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑oriented Development and Events Coordinator to be a part of a small and vibrant nonprofit organization and work collaboratively with initiatives and manage events. This role is essential to sustaining and growing our organization's impact through strategic donor cultivation and exceptional event execution. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leadership development and community building while possessing strong organizational and relationship management skills.
This is a part‑time (20 hours/week), contracted (1099) position.
- Develop and work with the CEO to implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support annual revenue goals
- Identify, cultivate, and steward individual donors and corporate sponsors
- Work with CEO to create grant strategy to be co‑managed by this role and CEO
- Monitor fundraising metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership
- Help to plan and execute annual events including Leadership Day, Step Up Conference, and Graduation
- Support staff and Alumni Committee with alumni and standalone events
- Assist with event logistics including venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, and vendor coordination
- Develop event marketing strategies and promotional materials
- Evaluate event success and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Assist staff with other LSC stewardship events, open houses, and community events including summer festivals, Juneteenth, Pride Month events, Oktoberfest, and resource fairs.
- 2+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or event management, communications, marketing, or related field
- Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and managing successful events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethical standards
- Post secondary education (college‑level coursework or degree) in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field
- Experience with annual giving campaigns and major gift solicitation
- Experience with grant writing and foundation relations
- Background in leadership development or professional development programs
- Familiarity with Snohomish County business and philanthropic community
- Event planning certification or relevant professional development
- Experience with social media marketing and digital fundraising tools
- Relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills
- Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through capabilities
- Creative problem‑solver with ability to work independently
- Comfortable with public speaking and donor presentations
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Passionate about leadership development and community impact
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
Contract compensation of $35,000‑$40,000 annually based on experience, with access to professional development opportunities and a flexible schedule.
