American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level III high-risk perinatal unit, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Level III high-risk perinatal unit with 19 L&D beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 7-bay triage area
• Facility averages 200-300 deliveries per month
• Staffing goals include 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplet care in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum
• Triage staffed with 3 RNs per shift; unit supported by surgical techs, CNAs, delivering providers, CRNAs, and health unit coordinators
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating to Postpartum required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) competency required
• Experience with high-risk L&D procedures including fetal monitoring, hemorrhage/shock management, and assisting with high-risk deliveries
• Experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries preferred; 100-200 deliveries considered
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide nursing care across labor, antepartum, and postpartum units including high-risk perinatal cases
• Support high-risk antepartum conditions such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, preterm labor, and VBAC management
• Participate in neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation support
• Scrub colors permitted except reddish orange
• Parking provided by facility
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius
• Can only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
