Quality Inspector 3 (H/F) – NORTHWEST AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
Northwest Aerospace Technologies (NAT), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA‑Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. NAT delivers design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing services to a broad portfolio of commercial and military aircraft customers.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and determine that detail and assembly parts, as well as test articles, meet approved drawings and specifications in accordance with NAT quality‑management procedures and policies.
- Assure compliance with a wide range of dimensional and specification requirements.
- Conduct receiving, in‑process, first‑article, final, and customer‑presentation inspections.
- Validate the physical characteristics, processing requirements, and data certifications of parts with complex geometry and configurations.
- Verify component manufacturing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to drawings, documents, and company procedures.
- Collaborate directly with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Purchasing departments.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by Quality department management.
- Report directly to the Quality Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
- Proficient in inspecting parts using gauges, scales, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other hand tools.
- Experience documenting findings and filling out First‑Article Reports (FAI) using AS9102 forms.
- Skill in writing non‑conformance tags for discrepant parts.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ethical independence and sound judgment regarding parts and processes.
- Seven or more years of mechanical inspection experience within aerospace and manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Manager.
