Mission & PurposeNorthwest Aerospace Technologies, a Safran company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. This role supports Safran’s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Manage the NAT approved Quality System, including nonconformance processing, tool calibration, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Conduct internal and external quality audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) and suppliers.
- Assist quality leadership with testing and inspection processes for related products.
- Support testers and staff with the use of quality tools and testing techniques.
- Pull monthly defect metrics and perform Pareto analysis.
- Review contracts as quality engineering focal and ensure customer requirements are communicated to the organization and suppliers.
- Manage document updates, approvals, and drawing reviews through the internal document control system.
- Identify required tooling and inspection equipment for new product introductions.
- Serve as the quality focal point for Integrated Product Teams as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by quality department management.
- Four‑year technical degree (preferred) or relevant training.
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Understanding of AS9100, ISO
13485, ITAF
16949, or ISO 9001:2015 quality systems (required). - Strong mathematical, technical, investigative, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and logical, methodical thinking.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Regular manufacturing hours with potential overtime, weekend, and on‑call work. Primary location is a warehouse and manufacturing environment with consistent use of computer keyboard and monitor. Some travel may be required.
