JOB SUMMARYThe Assistant Community Manager supports daily operations of assigned communities and works closely with the Community Manager to ensure efficient property management, resident satisfaction and retention, and achievement of financial and operational goals. Responsibilities include leasing, resident relations, and financial administration, and you will be a key contributor to the overall success of the property.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Financial and Administrative Responsibilities- Collect and post rent payments, security deposits and other fees accurately and on time.
- Manage delinquencies, payment arrangements and late notices.
- Process NSF checks, including posting the entry and notifying residents.
- Maintain accurate lease files, ensuring compliance with company policies and fair housing regulations.
- Walk vacated units, assessing and charging for damage or cleaning.
- Accurately enter data into management systems.
- Manage tasks in Yardi.
- Prepare reports, resident correspondence and other documents.
- Assist leasing professionals with all leasing efforts.
- Conduct tours, process applications, and coordinate move‑in dates.
- Plan monthly and quarterly marketing activity, including renewals on expiring leases.
- Fully understand and explain the entire lease contract.
- Provide best‑in‑class customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Support new residents during move‑in.
- Handle resident questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate move‑outs and resident transfers.
- Help coordinate resident events to foster a sense of community.
- Collaborate with maintenance to ensure work orders are completed promptly and units are turned in on time.
- Inspect assigned property to maintain curb appeal and safety standards.
- Enforce community policies and lease agreements consistently and fairly.
- Proficiency in property management software (Yardi preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a high‑volume environment.
- Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance if duties require vehicle or golf cart use.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of multi‑family property management or leasing experience.
- Operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
- Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers and telephones.
- $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday–Saturday, with one weekday off.
- Associates working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for company‑sponsored benefits beginning the first day of the month after 30 continuous days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) and life insurance. Full‑time associates accrue paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
