Business Sales Account Executive

Ziply Fiber

Base Salary: $50,000 annually. Performance-based salary advancement up to $60,000 annually within six months. Target commission of $40,000 annually. Job Summary:

The Business Sales Account Executive is responsible for generating sales in Ziply Fiber’s service areas to the small and medium business community, via door-to-door efforts, networking, local partnerships, and community-based events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Successfully complete the Ziply Fiber New-hire Sales Training.
  • Call upon a high volume of businesses, both in-person and through email or phone, as directed by Ziply Sales Leadership, and present Ziply Fiber’s Internet and phone services.
  • Follow the sales process outlined in training, including daily door knocking in designated business communities, following up with prospects via phone calls and emails, resulting in closing one new customer each day.
  • Participate in various events within an assigned territory to attract customers to sign up for services.
  • Travel outside assigned territory to participate in team-wide sales events, up to 25% of working days.
  • Active involvement in Chambers of Commerce and other local organizations.
  • Participate in e-learning, classroom sales training and associated curriculum in tandem with Sales Trainer.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales performance expectations.
  • Perform financial responsibilities including operational expense tracking, processing mileage reimbursements, logging event expenses, and others in a timely manner.
  • Monitor industry developments (technical, regulatory, and otherwise) and apply critical thinking for strategic and customer impact analysis.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; recent graduates strongly encouraged.
  • Sales experience is a plus but not required—training provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with aptitude to communicate complex solutions in a professional setting.
  • Experience working with people in varied settings such as customer service, retail, service industry, school teams or clubs.
  • Enthusiastic, persuasive, and resilient; able to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and competitive, with strong personal drive to achieve goals.
  • Committed to providing exceptional customer service in a calm, professional manner.
  • Access to reliable transportation, willingness to travel up to 25% of working days.
  • Pass local community background checks and permitting processes.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.

  • Prioritize and organize work effectively, self‑starter.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Work Authorization

Physical Requirements

Responsibilities include bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and standing for long periods. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires vision and driving capabilities as described.

Work Environment

Performed in an office setting with extensive use of computers and multi-line telephone systems.
