Job summary:
As a BMS Commissioning Technician III, you would be responsible for the overall startup, testing/commissioning, and documentation of construction projects to facilitate timely turnover to the client and the service team. You will report directly to a Construction Manager and work closely with the construction team to ensure all projects are commissioned and documented properly. You will also work professionally with both internal and external clients and have the ability to be a leader within the company.
- Mentor and train Project Commissioning Technicians.
- Develop and implement Project Commissioning Standards and Processes.
- Startup and testing of building automation systems.
- Work directly with clients and subcontractors to facilitate the installation of designed control systems.
- Develop a systematic plan for complete startup of systems and turnover to service team.
- Responsible for complete documentation of startup process for the system.
- Communicate with the project manager and client to assist in the effective completion of the project.
- Take initiative to find solutions.
- Provide client training on systems.
- Coordinate the punch-out of front-end system.
- Interface with Electrician on coordination items.
- Drive project schedule for efficient completion.
- Primary working location split between the Portland office and field on project sites during normal working hours.
- Conduct fieldwork with professionalism and independence while coordinating remotely with internal teams.
- Receive and apply specialized BMS training provided by the company.
- 5 years of commissioning experience.
- Associates or technical diploma is a plus but not required.
- Computer fluency; familiarity with programming preferred; electrical/mechanical aptitude; CAD or other graphic design experience a plus.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Appetite for challenge and ability to absorb technical training.
