Overview
PositionHead Cashier / Cashier role at The Home Depot. They provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at checkout, process transactions, monitor Self-Checkout areas, and identify selling opportunities. They follow policies to minimize shrink and may assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates.
Base pay range$20.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Responsibilities- Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at checkout and/or returns.
- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
- Obtain product/project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
- Act as a support to cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues.
- Assist in supervising, coaching and training other Front End Associates; participate in training of new Cashiers using available coaching tools.
- Preferred qualification: 1+ years of cashier experience.
