Pay: £25.00 per hour PAYE / £32.15 per hour Umbrella
Contract:
Approximately 2 months – sickness cover
Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00

We’re seeking an experienced Property Surveyor to support a busy housing team on a short-term assignment. Reporting to the Repairs Manager, you will carry out property inspections across the Evesham and Worcester area, diagnose maintenance issues and oversee repairs through to completion.
This role combines office-based duties with site visits and would suit someone with experience in residential repairs, damp and mould, and contractor management.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out responsive repairs inspections, including pre- and post-work inspections, preparing defect reports, specifications, schedules of work and costings.
- Investigate damp, mould and building defects, identify appropriate remedial works and monitor completion.
- Manage allocated disrepair cases, keeping accurate records and communicating clearly with tenants.
- Oversee contractors, checking workmanship, progress, costs and compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Undertake stock condition and HHSRS surveys, with communal fire risk assessments as required.
- Prepare void schedules and support aids and adaptations works, including liaison with occupational therapists.
- Raise works orders, check contractor invoices and support the team in meeting relevant housing and statutory requirements.
- A professional surveying qualification.
- Proven experience in property surveying, residential maintenance inspections and technical reporting.
- Practical experience diagnosing damp, mould and building defects.
- Experience preparing specifications and schedules of work, supervising contractors and checking completed repairs.
- Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety, CDM regulations and HHSRS.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach when working with tenants.
- Housing association or council repairs experience would be advantageous.
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle insured for business use.
- Available to start at short notice and committo an assignment lasting approximately two months.
