Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Children's Care Assistant to work in an SEN all-through School in Evesham on a full-time or part-time basis.

Hours #removed#pm Monday-Friday.

About the Role
  • As a Care Assistant your role will be to help support children with complex physical and medical needs and associated communication and learning needs.
  • You need to be a pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable care assistant to join the team.
  • This position would be to work with children across the primary and secondary age range from ages 3-19.
  • You will support pupils with their day-to-day personal care needs and work alongside other professional staff to further pupils' personal independence and skills.

  • A specialist school based in Evesham, supporting children and young people aged 3-19 with moderate to complex needs, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality education.
  • The school caters for pupils with a wide range of diagnoses and special educational needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
  • A key aim of the school is to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupils to express their ideas creatively and positively, helping to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • The school places strong emphasis on teaching life skills and promoting empathy, social responsibility, and community engagement, supporting pupils to grow into caring, responsible individuals who make a positive contribution to society.
About you
  • Provide practical assistance in relation to other identified physical needs e.g. mealtimes, organisation of learning equipment.
  • Recording and reporting on care needs.
  • Assisting pupils in implementing their own personal care programmes during the school day, specifically in relation to practical support for personal hygiene, toileting and continence training, and eating and drinking.
  • Have experience in a similar role.
  • Have, or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
