As a Referral & Assessment Social Worker
, you will focus on high-quality statutory assessments within a service that has recently strengthened its leadership structure. Clear expectations, improved support, and realistic caseloads mean social workers can focus on making sound decisions for children and families.

You will join a team where professional judgement is respected and where experienced Referral & Assessment Social Workers are trusted to manage risk, safeguarding concerns, and early intervention effectively.

• £33.33 per hour.
• Initial 6 month contract.
• Accommodation support available where required.
• Opportunities to progress into senior or management roles over time.

You will be joining a local authority children’s service that is strengthening practice and investing in stable, experienced teams. The focus is on improving outcomes for children while ensuring social workers have the support and structure needed to do their best work.

• Undertake statutory assessments within the Referral and Assessment service
• Manage a varied caseload, assessing risk and safeguarding concerns within statutory timescales
• Work closely with partner agencies to support informed decision making and effective safeguarding responses.
