Join to apply for the Therapist - Kaua‘i role at Hale Kipa. Hale Kipa is dedicated to supporting Hawai‘i’s youth, young adults, and families who navigate trauma, injustice, and systemic barriers, through safe housing, culturally grounded care, and trauma-informed relationships.
This position is based in Oahu and involves working with youth across programs including Intensive In-Home, Intensive Independent Living Skills, and Transitional Family Home Programs, in coordination with the Family Guidance Centers and other providers. The Therapists will be referred by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division in the Honolulu area and may be required to travel across the island.
This is a fee-for-service role with work assigned when available.
- Provide therapy/clinical services to youth and families as referred by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division.
- Demonstrate efficient time management and effective verbal and written communication.
- Navigate an electronic health record system and submit necessary documentation promptly.
- Collaborate with program staff and other providers involved with the youth.
- Travel across different parts of the island as needed.
- A Master’s degree in a related field.
- At least 1 year of clinical supervision.
- Experience providing therapeutic services to youth and families.
- Must be credentialed by the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division.
- A vehicle for transporting youth.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Current auto insurance and a safety check.
- $37.80 per hour (non-licensed).
- $42.00 per hour (clinical license recognized in the State of Hawaii).
- Separate documentation fee structure.
