Position is not remote and requires in-person work. A flexible part-time schedule starts in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season; from January to April, transition to full-time with evening and weekend hours as needed.
Location note:
Schofield Barracks, HI;
Honolulu, HI.
- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, create associate work schedules, ensure timekeeping accuracy, and manage labor across all offices.
- Travel between offices as required and prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
- Foster an engaging, high-performing team environment across all offices through training and coaching.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, after completing the required tax training.
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading a growth-oriented culture.
- Strong decision-making, judgment skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset to understand and exceed client needs.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).

Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply and individual pay decisions depend on factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligibility for incentive plans may apply.
Pay Range
$15.00 - $40.00/Hr.
