Job Description GeneralJob Duties for All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Accuracy in arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide (may use calculator).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders; motor coordination for precise movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigate maps, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain (multi‑story buildings, private homes, etc.) while carrying product.
- Weather conditions (rain, heat, etc.) when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F+.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
QualificationsYou must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards, as well as access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. You should possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain (multi‑story buildings, private homes) while carrying product.
Physical RequirementsStanding: Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile "brick" with linoleum in some areas. Height of work surfaces 36‑48 inches.
Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel must travel between store, vehicle, and customer location.
Sitting: Paperwork usually completed at a desk or table.
Lifting: Bulk product deliveries loaded by hand truck; cases of ingredients and supplies may weigh up to 50 pounds and be up to 3' × 1.5'. Cases may be stacked up to 72" high.
Carrying: Large cans (~3 pounds 7 ounces), pizza sauce (~30 pounds), trays of dough (~12 pounds per tray), and during delivery items while walking or climbing.
Pushing: Trays on dollies require up to 7.5 pounds of force.
Climbing: Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders; during deliveries may navigate five or more flights of stairs.
Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist necessary at assembly station; forward bending also at front counter and stocking ingredients.
Crouching/Squatting: Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching: Continuous upward, downward, forward reaches; may reach above 72" to turn on/off oven controls or change price signs; may reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; may reach forward to obtain topping ingredients, clean surfaces, or answer phones.
Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area; team member may make several deliveries per shift.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: Pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
Driving Specific Duties: Deliver product by car to customer, deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license with safe driving record, access to insured vehicle.
