Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Position Overview
Staff role in the Tutoring Center (TC) supports two professional staff members, manages data and scheduling of over 200 student tutors, coordinates TC events, performs general office functions, conducts project research, collaborates on communications, and assists with graduate assistant management.
Responsibilities- Manage WCOnline scheduling software for campus tutoring sessions
- Maintain data and records
- Support the Associate Director with budget, payroll, and research projects
- Serve as the TC receptionist and first point of contact
- Respond to office phone and emails
- Perform general office management: ordering supplies, keys, catering; scheduling rooms; work orders
- Coordinate events and represent TC as needed
- Maintain the TC website
- Hire, train, and supervise TC graduate assistants
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Experience with project management, data collection, and reporting
- Two or more years of relevant experience in higher education or transferable skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and ability to learn other systems related to TC operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop cooperative working relationships
- Honest, reliable, and exercise appropriate discretion, judgment, and confidentiality
- Experience with tutoring software such as WCOnline and the E‑Tutoring Consortium
- Experience updating websites using Word Press
- Experience with TCNJ software such as PAWS, Oracle, and Taleo
