Position SummaryURGE FITNESS is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Personal Training Sales Manager / Director to lead and grow our 1‑on‑1 Personal Training program while also contributing to overall membership sales. This role is designed for a sales-focused leader who thrives in a high-pressure, quota-driven environment and is motivated by performance-based earnings.
Primary Focus:Personal Training Sales
The manager is responsible for driving revenue through 1‑on‑1 personal training sales, including consultations, assessments, and package sales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sell 1‑on‑1 personal training packages through fitness consultations and assessments, prospect follow‑up and reactivation, and in‑club and phone‑based outreach.
- Convert leads into long‑term personal training clients.
- Maintain strong closing percentages and average sale values.
- Track, manage, and report personal training sales metrics.
- Collaborate with trainers to maximize client retention and upgrades.
- Ensure all personal training agreements are completed accurately and compliantly.
Membership Sales
- Support and contribute to overall membership sales goals.
- Assist with tours, presentations, and closing memberships as needed.
- Work collaboratively with Membership Sales Consultants to maximize lead conversion.
- Represent URGE FITNESS professionally in all sales interactions.
- Act as a visible leader on the gym floor during scheduled shifts.
- Support front desk, sales, and training staff as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming club environment.
- Enforce club policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Handle basic member concerns or escalations professionally.
- Communicate operational issues, staffing needs, or facility concerns to senior management.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed when scheduled.
- Operate in a high-accountability, quota-driven environment.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly personal training sales goals.
- Accept full responsibility for sales performance and results.
- Earnings are solely dependent on sales performance.
- No guaranteed income level; consistent underperformance may result in removal from the position.
- Participate in sales coaching, performance reviews, and strategy sessions.
- Conduct extensive phone outreach to new leads, existing members, and inactive prospects.
- Schedule and run fitness consultations, assessments, and sales appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity in URGE FITNESS CRM and software.
- Ensure proper check-in and documentation for all training clients.
Must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Schedule may vary based on sales demand, lead flow, and business needs.
Qualifications & Skills- Proven experience in commission-based sales (fitness sales strongly preferred).
- Strong closing skills and objection-handling ability.
- Comfortable with high-volume phone and in-person sales.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Professional, confident, and results-oriented.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using CRM, scheduling, and sales tracking software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the club for tours, consultations, and floor presence.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently, and more on occasions.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to demonstrate basic exercises or assessments when required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy fitness environment.
This position is highly commission-driven and performance-based. Income is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the individual’s ability to consistently sell personal training and contribute to overall club revenue. Failure to meet established performance goals may result in removal from the position or mutual separation.
