  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, providing personalized moments, and assisting with immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and other services.
  • Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts.
  • Support a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including routine travel to other stores.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable, such as immunizations and voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics.
Immunization Responsibilities (where permitted)
  • Complete additional licensure and training requirements, in compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty.
  • Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public health requirements.
  • Review and collect patient information; track and document each applicable patient.
  • Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
  • Focus on tasks, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information for patient safety.
  • Provide customer service and team orientation, looking for ways to help people and responding to patient reactions.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal and written communication.
  • Apply mathematical reasoning when determining dosage and supply calculations.
  • Resolve problems by selecting the best action among options.
  • Meet physical demands such as standing, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, typing, and using precision machines.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.

  • If no minimum age requirement is set by the board, must be at least 16 years old.
  • If no minimum educational requirement is set by the board, must have a high school diploma, equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school.
  • State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state ( to learn more).
