Entry Sanitation Team Member at Winland Foods. The General Laborer performs general manual labor tasks and will be assigned a wide variety of duties that vary depending on production needs and the department (Press Packaging, Sanitation, and Mill).

Salary: $21.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

• Adheres to company safety and sanitation policies and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in all areas of responsibility.
• Follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
• Speed is an essential element in this job.
• Maintains good housekeeping principles and an organized and neat work area.

• No experience required; all new hires will be trained.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Highly motivated self-starter and ability to work independently.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and measuring ability.
• Demonstrates good people skills.

• Move about the facility; frequently stand and walk up to 90 percent of the shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb frequently; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; vision requirements include near and far visual acuity with some color perception.
• Regularly stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts; comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures.
• Tasks may involve using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, etc., and compliance with uniform policy.
• Lift 50 pounds at a minimum; seek assistance for heavier loads.
• Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion.
