Overview (continued)

Do you think saving lives is a great way to get a tan? As a Lifeguard, you’ll be in charge of keeping the water safe while looking cooler than a polar bear in a snowstorm. Your superhuman focus and lightning-fast reflexes will make sure that no cannonball goes unchallenged, and no pool noodle goes unprotected.

Responsibilities
  • Water Hawk: You’ll stand watch over the pool like a hawk with sunglasses. Your eyes will be trained to spot suspicious/dangerous activities, such as diving contests, impromptu pool races, or someone making a splash by pretending they didn’t just trip on the edge.
  • Rescue Champion: At any moment, you could be called to action, whether it’s saving a swimmer in distress or ensuring no one steals the last pool noodle. You’re basically Aquaman without the trident.
  • Whistle Warrior: You’ll develop the power to clear a crowd with a single sound. Use your whistle wisely—it’s a tool of power and judgment. Too much whistle, and you’ll be known as the “Whistle Dictator.” Too little, and we’ll have pool chaos. It’s all about balance.
  • Floatie Inspector: Your job isn’t just about people—it’s about objects too. You’ll patrol the inflatable jungle, making sure all floaties are in their proper place.
  • The Shh, No Running Expert: You’ll be the unofficial voice of calm, reminding everyone that running poolside is a definite safety hazard, even if they’re late to the snack bar.
  • Shark Watcher: Despite no actual sharks in the pool, you’ll develop a keen eye for spotting dangerous pool toys, sneaky floaties, and suspicious-looking pool noodles. No one escapes your watchful eye!
  • Chill in the Sun: You’ll have some downtime to catch some rays, but don't get too comfortable—your secret mission is to maintain a mysterious air of authority.
  • Sunscreen Savvy: You’ll become a sunscreen aficionado—applying SPF like a true professional.
  • Poolside Police: Ensure the poolside peace by keeping everyone in line and making sure the rules stay afloat.
  • Chlorine Guardian: Safety first, chemicals second – PPE required when working with chemicals!
  • Snack Critic: When you’re not saving lives, offer expert reviews on poolside snacks. Yes, the chips are good, but have you tried the pretzels? (This is an important part of the job).
  • Additional Tasks: And any other awesome tasks that come your way!
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 15 years young and ready to take on the world (or at least the pool).
  • Gotta be a certified lifesaver, no excuses – CPR/AED/First Aid. (Can also be received as on the job training.)
  • Must possess the ability to identify colors with the precision of a rainbow detective for chemical testing purposes.
  • Must possess a calm, unshakable demeanor when dealing with poolside dilemmas.
  • Previous experience with being in the water, looking super cool, and pulling off the perfect lifeguard whistle is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to stay as cool as a cucumber in an ice bath, even when the waves get a little rough.
  • Must have the charm and grace of a poolside concierge, making every swimmer feel like a VIP.
  • Must be as strong and agile as a dolphin—ready to dive into action whenever needed.
  • Exposure to the full range of aquatic adventures (yes, that includes bodily fluids and potential communicable diseases).
  • Patience when it comes to battling Mother Nature's mood swings.
Perks
  • Tanning opportunities (supervised, of course).
  • A chance to perfect your lifeguard strut.
  • Lifeguard team bonding activities, like synchronized whistle blowing and extreme pool noodle jousting.
  • Free access to pool parties, water slides, and occasional impromptu dance-offs with kids (if you’re feeling adventurous).

Ready to save lives, blow whistles dramatically, and become the poolside icon you've always wanted to be? Apply now and join our team of heroic lifeguards. Your summer of sunshine, saving the day, and keeping it cool awaits!
