McWane Plant & Industrial (MPI) in Exeter, CA is a recognized leader in water control products for water treatment, wastewater, high-volume agricultural and rural surface water delivery, hydro-power, and flood control management. We are a leading provider of water control gates, valves, automated controls and accessories to these markets and key customers such as government agencies (water districts, utilities, flood control districts) and agricultural water users (growers, cooperatives).

Organized, reliable Shipping/Receiving Palletizer who secures battens around bundles of packaged meta extrusions to form protective shipping pallets, using strapping tool. Presses conveyor controls to position packaged extrusions under strapping tool. Keeps track of palletizing inventory and requisitions as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Measures dimensions of bundles, using ruler, and cuts battens to required size, using power saw.
• Positions battens, cardboard strips, and metal or plastic strapping around bundles in specified fashion, also builds customized pallets based on load constraints on both Regular Freight, LTL, etc. and Flatbeds.
• Threads strapping through strapping tool and secures battens with strapping, using strapping tool, to form protective pallet around extrusions.
• Removes palletized bundles from conveyor for further processing, using pneumatic hoist.
• Takes Weights and Dimensions as required.
• Trains new employees in safety and proper building of pallets.
• Performs cycle counts when necessary
• Complete daily paperwork
