X-Ray Tech (47561) – Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics

The Radiologic Technologist (RT) performs basic radiographic procedures and has knowledge of detecting adverse symptomology relating to procedures.

• Participates in departmental/organization Performance Improvement activities as requested.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication of patient information with health care team members as required for prompt and efficient patient care.
• Complete all necessary written and computer documentation in a timely manner.
• Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images; correctly identify films.
• Obtain high quality radiographs with proper patient positioning and image technique; demonstrate technical expertise to operate imaging equipment.
• Comply with Department of Health standards and radiation safety guidelines.
• Maintain working knowledge of imaging equipment and operate equipment safely.
• Reduce hazards/risks, prevent accidents/injuries, and maintain a safe workplace environment.
• Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Obtain quality radiographs of patients within an acceptable timeframe.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment; adhere to attendance and tardiness policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training required.
• Must be registry eligible and pass the registry to become ARRT Registered within 1 year from date of hire. NH State license is required on hire.
• American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required.
