Position: Lead Diet Aide- Full Time

. The position offers a dynamic environment where you will provide excellent customer service and support residents while working with a talented culinary services team.

Hours are primarily 10:30 am–7:00 pm, with scheduling options Sunday–Thursday. Shift coverage may be required for breakfast shifts (starting at 6:30 am) and on Fridays, Saturdays.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the manager in orienting and training new employees.
  • Maintain a recognition and reward process for employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist with timely performance reviews using River Woods’ system.
  • Practice FIFO inventory management for nursing supplies and supplements.
  • Ensure all records (guest meals, nursing restocks, dish machine temperature logs) are updated.
  • Update and maintain Geri Menu resident database and ticket printing; input special menus as needed.
  • Plan and conduct effective daily pre‑meal meetings with diet aides and culinary team prior to service meal periods.
  • Ensure professional appearance of all personnel (uniform, hygiene).
  • Follow residents’ diet orders and preferences accurately.
  • Participate in theme meal and special event planning with nursing, activities, and Culinary Operations Manager.
  • Engage with residents and diet aides during dining to ensure high food quality and service.
  • Collect resident feedback on food and service quality and communicate recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 1‑2 years of senior services or health‑care dining supervisory experience.
