- Carries beeper and IP phone, takes calls/requests and assigns staff as required by situations. Documents all requests in log and delivers pager; gives report to next shift and Senior Housekeeper. May rearrange staffing to ensure adequate coverage during callouts as needed.
- Monitors bed‑tracking system.
- Cleans all areas as assigned, cleans floors using vacuuming, dry and damp mopping, using all safety procedures and appropriate PPE according to standards.
- Reports all aesthetic issues, need for repair, equipment needing removal or tags. Uses LOTO as required.
- Uses cleaning chemicals in accordance with use guidelines.
- Handles waste removal, including general, biohazard/infectious waste, sharps, hazardous and confidential waste, using appropriate protocol. May handle hazardous waste.
- May provide job training for new hires.
- Issues, delivers and removes linens to areas in accordance with established protocols, documenting all issues.
- Maintains and replenishes supplies on carts/closets in an orderly clean fashion in accordance with established protocols.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
