Base pay: $1.75/hr – $1.75/hr (effective July 1, 2025).
Shift Differential- 2nd Shift: $1.75 per hour
- 3rd Shift: $2.00 per hour
- Weekend Premium: $3.00 per hour
The Corrections Officer maintains discipline and order of incarcerated inmates in treatment housing areas and worker training sites within the county correctional facility. The Corrections Officer is responsible for the care, custody, and overall control of the inmate population through enforcing policies and procedures. Officers act as ex‑officio constables with general police powers, including arrests within the jail or during transports, and may work up to 16 hours on occasion.

Full time, non‑exempt, union position. Status/Shift: Full Time / Non‑Exempt / Union.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalency to qualify for NH Association of Counties “Corrections Officer Academy” certification.
- Must be able to pass physical requirements of Group II retirement certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Good writing skills and ability to articulate well.
- Good interaction skills.
- Must pass polygraph test.
Mandatory post‑offer physical and drug testing for new hires. Criminal records check required.
