An established and highly respected accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Payroll Manager to lead its experienced payroll team.

The RoleYou'll be responsible for leading a busy payroll team, ensuring payrolls are delivered accurately, on time and to the highest standard, while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Alongside managing the team, you'll remain hands-on, supporting with payroll processing, compliance and providing technical guidance where needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, support and develop an established payroll team.
Manage and allocate workloads to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved.
Process a portfolio of client payrolls across multiple pay frequencies.
Complete RTI submissions, month-end and year-end payroll duties.
Prepare P45s, P60s and statutory payroll calculations.
Manage Auto Enrolment pension schemes and compliance.
Prepare and submit CIS returns.
Set up new payrolls, pension schemes and CIS registrations.
Respond to client payroll queries and provide exceptional service.
Maintain accurate payroll records and continually improve internal processes.
Liaise with senior management regarding team performance and workflow.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience managing or supervising a payroll team, or be an experienced Senior Payroll professional ready for progression.
Strong payroll knowledge, ideally gained within an accountancy practice.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience using payroll software, with knowledge of Sage Payroll advantageous.
Knowledge of Auto Enrolment pensions and CIS.
Experience with NHS pension schemes would be beneficial but is not essential.
Salary depending on experience.
