About the RoleClark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded and rapidly expanding firm of chartered accountants in the South West who are seeking a driven and ambitious Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their established and growing corporate tax team in Exeter. - Work closely with experienced corporate tax specialists and the wider multi-disciplinary tax team, supporting a broad range of compliance and advisory assignments.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
- Undertake technical research.
- Assist with capital allowances, R&D claims, transactional tax work, and due diligence projects.
- Help deliver restructuring and planning assignments.
- Manage projects to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Support and mentor junior team members as they develop their technical capabilities.
- Maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with colleagues across audit and other service lines.
- Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives for those keen to enhance commercial skills.
- At least two years’ experience in a corporate tax compliance role.
- ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified (or part-qualified with a strong desire to continue studying).
- Solid technical knowledge, excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly.
- Experience with Alphatax is advantageous.
