Finance & Payroll Administrator

We are working with a well-established business who are looking for a Finance & Payroll Administrator to join their team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to support both the finance and payroll functions of the business.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, while supporting a range of day-to-day finance and accounting activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing employee timesheets, starters and leavers.
Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
Maintaining holiday, sickness and payroll records.
Processing sales invoices & Vat Returns
Recording and allocating cash receipts.
Completing bank reconciliations.
Preparing and issuing customer statements.
Assisting with month-end accounting procedures.
Liaising with employees, customers, accountants and internal teams.

About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and confident working with numbers, with previous experience in finance, payroll or accounts administration.
You will ideally have:
Previous payroll or finance administration experience would be an advantic
A good understanding of payroll and basic accounting principles.
Experience processing timesheets and employee changes.
Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end processes.
Experience using accounting software — Sage 200 would be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
Working Hours
Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm
37 hours per week, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
