The Role:
As a Payroll Assistant, you will assist the Payroll Manager in the successful delivery of the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, the ability to meet strict deadlines, and a professional approach to customer service and confidentiality. Your responsibilities will include:
Processing starters and leavers Calculating holiday entitlements Processing payroll deductions Reviewing timesheets and challenging these where required Calculation of all statutory payments, SSP, SMP etc. Assessing the workforce for auto enrolment Liaising closely with the HR department Responding to queries from Employees and Branch Managers Producing reports and analysing data Assisting with Year End procedures and processes What we can offer you Training on bespoke internal and portal systems Full training in all areas of administration A great working environment with supportive colleagues
The Ideal Candidate :
Good understanding of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook Attention to detail The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Excellent Telephone Manor Positive attitude and solution focused Payroll knowledge and/or qualification (desirable)
