Service Advisor

About the Opportunity

A well-established automotive retail group operating across the South and South-West of England is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join its busy dealership team. This organisation represents a number of leading vehicle manufacturers and is recognised for delivering high levels of customer service and aftersales support.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers requiring vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs. You will act as the link between customers and the workshop, ensuring clear communication and an exceptional customer experience throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and promote available products and services.
  • Manage customer records, service documentation, and follow-up processes.
  • Provide accurate repair and service estimates.
  • Keep customers informed on vehicle progress and notify them when work is complete.
  • Ensure warranty and goodwill claims are processed, invoiced, and costed accurately.
  • Prepare and present invoices in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor workshop activity and communicate any delays or issues to customers.
  • Support technicians by assisting with mechanical and diagnostic-related queries where required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • The ability to quickly understand information and provide effective solutions.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good IT and web literacy skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Previous automotive service experience is desirable but not essential.
