Role Overview
Are you an experienced, organised and confident business support professional looking for a role where your work directly contributes to positive outcomes for children, young people and foster families? We have an exciting opportunity for a Fostering Business Support Manager to join our West Country Fostering service, based from any of our West country offices – Plymouth, Truro or Exeter.
ResponsibilitiesAs Business Support Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the service, providing high-quality administrative, operational and financial oversight to Fostering Managers and the wider fostering team. This is a varied and busy role where you will oversee day‑to‑day office processes, support accurate record keeping, prepare reports, take minutes, respond to enquiries and provide detailed oversight of financial transactions, including foster carer payments.
You will also line manage Senior Business Support Co‑ordinators and Business Support Co‑ordinators within the area, helping to create a supportive, organised and responsive business support function.
We are looking for someone who can work confidently in a fast‑paced environment, balance competing priorities, use their initiative and communicate effectively with colleagues, foster carers and external contacts. Strong organisational skills, practical communication skills and experience of managing a small office‑based team are essential. Experience of working within fostering, children’s services or a regulated care environment would be an advantage.

Working HoursMonday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm;
