Stafford Lawrence has been exclusively retained by a highly respected, multi-disciplinary Chartered Building Surveying Consultancy to secure a Chartered / Intermediate Building Surveyor for their established team in Exeter.

The Role - MRICS Building Surveyor Job Vacancy Exeter, DevonReporting directly to the Exeter Office Director, you will execute a diverse array of traditional building surveying and project management duties. You will take full ownership of your own projects from inception to completion, working both independently and collaboratively within an experienced regional team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver traditional building surveys, defect diagnoses, contract administration, and design-and-build/refurbishment projects.
- Manage projects across multiple asset classes including education, commercial, private/social residential, defence, and conservation.
- Prepare comprehensive tender packages and administer contracts robustly.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key regional clients, maintaining strong relationships to foster repeat business.
- Actively mentor and support less senior members of the building surveying team.
This specific vacancy is for a qualified professional who can confidently manage client accounts and project workloads.
- Professional Status:
MRICS Chartered Status is required for this role. (

We have separate vacancies for APC candidates; this particular appointment requires full chartership). - Education:
Degree qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying, or an equivalent RICS-accredited construction degree. - Technical
Experience:
Proven track record in traditional building surveying, structural surveys, and contract administration. Experience in both commercial and residential sectors is highly desirable (though strength in either will be considered). - Software
Skills:
Proficient user of AutoCAD. - Leadership & Fit:
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the desire and ability to mentor junior surveyors. - Mobility: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential for regional site visits (travel is regional and non-excessive).
