• Monitor progress and workmanship to ensure all civil activities are delivered to programme and in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.

• Complete and maintain site documentation including daily diaries, inspections, permits, quality records, ITPs, and progress updates.

• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics teams to coordinate plant, labour, materials, and deliveries to site.

• Identify and escalate any risks, delays, design clashes, or non-conformances to the Site Manager and wider project team to minimise programme impact.

• Support interface management with electrical, commissioning, and wider construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery and alignment across disciplines.

Experience to be Considered

• Strong understanding of civil construction activities associated with grid infrastructure including foundations, ducting, drainage, reinforced concrete, earthworks, access roads, and cable route installation.

• Previous experience working on National Grid, DNO, substation, or HV infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.

• Experience supervising subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams within fast-paced construction environments.

• Strong working knowledge of HSEQ procedures, RAMS, permit-to-work systems, temporary works, and safe systems of work.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain a strong site presence and proactively drive works forward.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure project on a long-term basis.

This is a 12-month renewable contract and falls outside IR35.
