Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a mix of developer and contracting experience?

A new opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join an exciting, forward‑thinking and developing business that boasts a diverse range of projects within new build, regeneration, and restoration. The company is rapidly expanding and has a large number of new sites due to start in the coming months. You will be part of an exciting journey working on prestigious projects in desirable areas, where every site is different.

Working in a close‑knit team, you will be a key member of the commercial team. You will play a crucial role in managing and controlling costs throughout the lifecycle of development projects and collaborate closely with departments such as Development, Construction, and Design to ensure commercial efficiency, cost certainty, and best value in all procurement and contractual arrangements.

Summary of Duties
  • Monthly cost reporting (CVRs), oversee budgets, closely monitor costs
  • Material take‑offs
  • Procurement of packages and subcontractors
  • Ordering materials based on site orders
  • Processing payments
  • Measurement and valuations
  • Closing down final accounts
Experience and Attributes Needed
  • A proven background as a quantity surveyor
  • Experience ideally in both housing development and contracting
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Highly organised
  • Eye for detail
  • Excellent IT and reporting skills
  • Able to work independently and well with other departments
  • HNC, Degree or equivalent in quantity surveyor or construction related subject
