Senior Quantity Surveyor (Permanent)

NG Bailey are currently searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team to work on various projects across the South West region, with locations in Bristol, Plymouth, and Exeter.

• Ensure that the "safety first" mandate is upheld through all project activities.
• Use and enforce legal and company policies in line with contractual obligations.
• Understand contract terms, manage risks and opportunities, and ensure commercial mitigation or enhancement as required.
• Maintain all records to maximize contractual entitlements.
• Communicate with operational teams regarding risk, contract terms, and project status.
• Prepare, submit, and secure recovery of payments, substantiating compensation or variations.
• With support, manage sub‑contract accounts through to final settlement.
• Monitor and control progress with the operational team, providing accurate internal reporting.
• Ensure availability of all project reports, applications, certificates, payments, and tender allowances, meeting timeliness and quality standards.
• With support, negotiate to settle the project accounts with the client.

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an M&E background.
• A degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification and/or significant experience.
• Experience in change and subcontract management.
• Good understanding of NEC3/4 and JCT contracts (desirable).
