Based within a multidisciplinary Exeter office of 35+ professionals, you will join an experienced Architecture and Building Surveying team that forms part of a wider national discipline of more than 50 specialists.

The role offers an excellent combination of professional Building Surveying and project-led work, with exposure to a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, heritage, institutional and privately owned property.

There is considerable scope to tailor the position around the successful individual’s experience. For an established surveyor, there will also be opportunities to develop client relationships, generate new instructions and play an important role in the continued growth of the Building Surveying offering in Exeter.

  • Undertaking property inspections and preparing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Schedules
  • Preparing reinstatement cost assessments across individual properties and wider portfolios
  • Providing technical advice and consultancy on building defects and undertaking defect diagnosis
  • Advising clients on refurbishment and improvement projects
  • Supporting conservation and heritage-led projects where appropriate
  • Providing advice in relation to landlord and tenant matters
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of client service
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with the existing client base
  • Identifying opportunities for additional instructions and generating new leads
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Architecture and other property disciplines

Depending on your level of experience, there will also be scope to take greater responsibility for client development, fee generation and business growth within Exeter.
