Can you lead the successful delivery of a major civils package, on a Major Industrial Scheme?

We are seeking an experienced Package Manager – Civil Works to join our project delivery team on a major industrial development, in the West Country.

Can you take ownership of a significant civils package on a high-profile project, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery from mobilisation through to completion?

You'll work closely with the SLT and multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will be responsible for managing the planning, procurement, construction, commercial performance, and stakeholder coordination of your allocated package. This is a major project, in the close proximity of Exeter.

About you:

Are you an experienced Package Manager with a degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, and a proven track record of delivering major civil engineering packages on complex construction projects.
You'll have strong technical knowledge across earthworks, foundations, drainage, reinforced concrete, underground services and external works, alongside excellent leadership, planning and communication skills.
Experience managing subcontractors, a sound understanding of NEC contracts, CDM regulations and UK health and safety legislation is essential, together with a valid SMSTS and CSCS Managers Card (or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve project objectives.

* Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

* Develop and monitor short-term and long-term construction programmes.

* Coordinate interfaces with other work packages and disciplines across the project.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements, promoting a strong safety culture at all times.

* Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, inspection and test plans, and construction documentation.

* Monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities, and implement effective mitigation measures.

* Manage commercial aspects of the package, including change control, forecasting, progress reporting, and subcontractor performance.

* Chair package meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior project leadership.

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, consultants, and key stakeholders
