Chartered Building Surveyor; AD level
This position suits a Chartered Building Surveyor (Up to AD level) based in Exeter, offering hybrid working within a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, taking ownership of client relationships while supporting growth of the local team. Responsibilities include leading projects, delivering professional services, and mentoring colleagues where appropriate. Strong technical knowledge, chartered status, and commercial awareness are essential, alongside the ability to work autonomously and build lasting partnerships.
This full-time permanent post pays between £55,000 and £80,000 annually, plus car allowance and healthcare. Career progression towards Associate Director is genuinely available for those demonstrating leadership capability and ambition. - Lead and deliver a diverse range of building surveying instructions.
- Manage refurbishment, fit-out, repair and asset improvement projects.
- Undertake professional surveys, defect diagnosis and condition assessments.
- Build and develop client relationships whilst identifying new business opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Contribute to the continued growth of the South West business.
- MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor.
- Consultancy or client-side building surveying experience.
- Strong project and professional surveying background.
