Position

Dental Workplace Assessor – Part time (3 days per week)

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum pro rata for candidates with relevant qualifications and experience. For those not yet CAVA qualified, a starting salary of up to £28,500 per annum pro rata will be offered.

Responsibilities
  • Book and carry out workplace assessments of Diploma in Dental Nursing learners within the required time period.
  • Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners.
  • Ensure the correct completion and submission of all assessment paperwork.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the learner and practice manager in a sensitive manner.
  • Prepare and support a small caseload of learners for EPA.
  • Conduct health & safety and equal opportunities vetting and monitoring of practice and provide guidance where necessary.
  • Plan and prepare for each workplace assessment.
  • Remain current in skills and knowledge of the dental sector, legislative requirements, and maintain GDC registration.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification – or willingness to acquire.
  • Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service – or willingness to undergo one.
  • Based in Exeter to conduct workplace assessments.
  • Ability to plan work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • IT literate with effective use of MS Office.
  • Experience assessing the Dental Diploma/Advance Apprenticeship (desirable).
  • Experience working within work‑based learning programmes (desirable).
