Dental Nurse Position
DENTAL NURSE OPPORTUNITY AT CARriage WORKS DENTAL

Due to expansion we are looking for a Full Time (Part time considered) Dental Nurse to join our friendly team of 43. We are an independent award‑winning mixed NHS and private practice. Excellent Hygienist, therapist and support staff with a great working environment. We provide general dentistry, advanced restorative, implants, anterior alignment orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, facial aesthetics and conscious sedation.
Salary – From £12 per hour (Higher salary to be discussed for candidates with additional qualifications)
Purpose of job:To carry out a full range of duties set out by the GDC scope of practice for dental nurses, including but not limited to:
- Assisting the clinician during a full range dental procedure
- Preparing and maintaining the clinical area
- Decontamination and infection control
- Supporting and communicating with patients
- Working as a dynamic and effective team member to ensure patients receive excellent care
- Liaising with suppliers, laboratories, and colleagues to ensure smooth running of the day
- Working closely with a dentist delivering a high standard of dental care
- Supporting the clinician to deliver dental procedures in a safe and caring environment
- Working as part of a team to ensure the clinical environment is organised and prepared in a timely manner
- Following and abiding by the practice's SOP (standard operating procedures) and policies
- Maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times
- Upholding the practice's core values at all times
- NEBDN qualification in dental nursing or equivalent qualification (We would also consider someone on route to qualification)
- GDC registration
- Up to date CPD records and PDP
- Previous CPR/BLS training
- Radiography
- Implant or orthodontic nursing
- ILS training
- Experience using Exact SOE
- Working within COVID-19 restrictions (FFP2/3 fit tested)
- Four handed dentistry
- Experience of nursing for surgical procedures
- Friendly, reliable, and willing to learn new skills
- Organised with excellent coordination skills
- Able to work flexibly with others in a busy team environment
- Able to work on their own initiative
- Able to organise and manage their own patient diary and plan ahead
- Great communication skills to use within the practice and with laboratories and suppliers
- Good knowledge of dental abbreviation and terminology
- Ability to assist with clinical photography
- Efficient time management and ability to prioritise effectively
- Confident with IT
- High standard of cross infection knowledge and procedures
- The ability and personality to build a rapport with our patients

Job Types: Full‑time / Part‑time, Permanent. Salary:
From £12.00 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday.
COVID screening completed for all patients and staff before attending the practice. We are following all COVID guidelines. Full PPE and fit testing provided by the practice.
