RGB Recruitment seeks an experienced Planner for a full time post in Exeter, offering £35,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience. The successful candidate will join a design-led consultancy providing architectural, construction management and planning services. Applicants should possess ten or more years within town planning, ideally across sectors such as leisure parks. Duties include preparing and submitting applications, advising clients, and liaising with local authorities.
Strong communication, report writing and project management skills are essential. An exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner to join a well-established practice in their Esat Devon office. The design led consultancy offers a range of services from Architectural, through to construction management and planning all while maintaining an excellent staff Retention. The right candidate will ideally have 10 + years of planning experience across a variety of sectors to include leisure parks, and you can find yourself working in a small but friendly office environment, being fully supported with all the benefits you will find working for a large multi-disciplinary.

- Develop creative and original planning solutions
- Preparing policy presentations, project proposals and tender responses
- Manging own client relationships
- Grow workload and win business in the area
- Consult with stakeholders and other interested parties
- Negotiate with developers and other professionals, such as surveyors and architects
- Assess planning applications and monitor outcomes
- Research and analyses data to help inform strategic developments
- Design layouts and draft design statements
- Attend and present at planning boards, appeals and public inquiries
- Relevant Planning degree within MRTPI / RTPI /RICS
- Proficiency on CAD software
- Project delivery keep up to date with legislation associated with land use
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
