Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology

Due to retirement, we are looking for a Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology to join our team and help shape the future of our services. In this varied role, you will enjoy a minimum of one full day in theatre, carrying out complex procedures such as maximal effort cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer and using the Da Vinci Robotic platform. • Participate in the gynaecological oncology service, including theatre sessions and outpatient activity.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality cancer care pathways.
• Contribute to specialist services including colposcopy.
• Undertake urgent suspected cancer clinics.
• Support service development and innovation within gynaecology and gynaecological oncology services.
• Participate in the gynaecology on‑call rota (currently at 1:8 frequency and with no impact to elective gynaecological oncology workload).
• Engage in teaching, audit and clinical governance activities.
