Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a HLTA to join a highly regarded school in Cullompton, Devon, with a start date of January 2026. The post covers KS1 and KS2, providing class cover while a teacher works elsewhere and focusing primarily on literacy and numeracy booster sessions. The school offers excellent long‑term progression opportunities and high‑quality training and support.

• Provide cover for some classes for part of the day while a class teacher is working elsewhere.
• Work with groups of children in activities set by the teacher.
• Assist with resources such as printing, photocopying, and exhibiting.
• Eliminate resources after class.
• Assist in the classroom by supporting the teacher.
• Support pupils who need SEND support.
• Lead and support literacy and numeracy booster sessions for pupils.

• Experience as an HLTA for KS1 and KS2.
• Proactive, lively, and able to form positive bonds with pupils.
• Must be suitably qualified for the advertised position.
• Up‑to‑date DBS or willingness for Axcis to process one on your behalf.
• Available Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. starting January 2026.
• Prepared to attend a face‑to‑face interview with Axcis.
• Salary / pay rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
