Primary School Teaching Assistant KS1 / KS2 General Support Role Exeter

A friendly community-focused primary school near Exeter Devon is seeking a proactive and nurturing Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support across Key Stages 1 and 2 (KS1 / KS2). This is a vital full-time term-time role starting in January 2026.

Primary Teaching Assistant required.

Full-time Term-Time only permanent contract (subject to probation).

Role based in the Exeter area of Devon (accessible from city and surrounding villages).

Focus on in-class support resource preparation and small group literacy / numeracy intervention.

You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure a supportive and stimulating learning environment. A significant part of the role involves running small group sessions to boost foundational skills particularly reading and maths for students identified for targeted support.

Experience working with children in a primary school setting is highly desirable.

Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is a bonus.
