Overview

This is a Curriculum Area Manager role responsible for leading two large teams within the Human, Social and Political Sciences Faculty. The post oversees A level History (Early and Later Modern) and Geography, both of which are also delivered as part of the International Baccalaureate. History has a large and successful cohort of over 400 learners, the majority studying at A level.

Geography is similarly popular, with over 300 A level students taught by an experienced, collaborative and ambitious team.

  • Experience with in the delivery of History A level.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Able to lead by example in actions and personal development.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of teachers to deliver high‑quality education to our learners.
  • Measure the performance and effectiveness of the curriculum.
  • Monitor, track and ensure the continued success and achievement rates of our learners.
  • Deliver sessions within your subject of expertise.
  • Support, train and mentor teachers to achieve and maintain our high‑quality provision and approach.
