Position: SEND Teaching Assistant (Temporary)
SEND Teaching Assistant – Exeter

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a range of supportive schools across Exeter and the surrounding areas.

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day

Contract:

Full-time, Term Time Only

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30pm

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, adapting learning to individual needs
Assist in delivering EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans
Promote inclusion, independence, and positive social interaction
Support emotional wellbeing, communication, and behaviour regulation
Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff
We’re Looking For:

Previous SEND experience (desirable but not essential)
Transferable experience (e.g. care work, youth work, psychology, family SEND experience)
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine desire to learn and develop within education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
