Position: Key Stage 3/4 SEND Teacher

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Are you a dedicated and supportive teacher? Do you have a good understanding of the national curriculum?

A SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities teacher is required for long term supply cover in a SEND school just outside of Bridgwater immediately, supporting children in Key Stage 3 and KS4 primarily with Maths, although cross curricular knowledge would be required.

The role will be delivering an engaging curriculum at a mix of KS2 and KS3 level and requires a versatile SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teacher who is creative and caring in their approach. The school has a team of dedicated teaching assistants who provide fantastic support to the children. The students all have an EHCP for Autistic Spectrum Disorders, MLD, ADHD and SEMH / behavioural needs, so you will need to be patient, resilient, compassionate and caring.

The school has an excellent reputation and is a great place to work; the staff are welcoming, friendly and supportive of one another and the SLT have a huge amount of experience in leading a specialist school.

The ideal SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities teacher will have:

UK QTS with SEND experience
The ability to follow the National Curriculum and provide creative lessons
Positive approach to teaching
The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils
Fantastic classroom management
