We're looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring hair professional to join our award-winning Hairdressing and Barbering team. Based in Exeter city centre, our faculty offers a vibrant, specialist learning environment with commercial salons where learners develop real-world skills, confidence, and professionalism. You'll work alongside a highly successful, creative, and supportive team, sharing ideas and expertise with experienced colleagues who are passionate about education and the hair industry.

What You’ll Be Doing- Delivering engaging, hands‑on lessons in hairdressing, customer service, and professional standards
- Supporting learners across Level 1, 2, and 3 qualifications, including practical assessments and theory-based modules
- Collaborating closely with the hairdressing and barbering team to run our busy commercial salons
- Mentoring and motivating students to build confidence, professionalism, and industry‑ready skills
- Contributing to curriculum development and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and learner experience
- Proven experience as a senior hairdressing professional, with significant and current industry knowledge
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work to work towards one
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and approachable attitude
- A genuine passion for education, learner progression, and student success
- The ability to bring energy, creativity, and professionalism into the classroom and salon environment
- You’ll be committed, proactive, and learner‑focused, ensuring students meet targets while enjoying a positive, inclusive, and values‑driven experience. Your passion for hairdressing and barbering will inspire the next generation of professionals.

Our Hospitality, Hair and Beauty faculty is based within the Laurence Building at our Hele Road campus, close to the heart of the city centre, just a few minutes' walk from Exeter St. David’s and Exeter Central Stations. We have exceptional commercial facilities to include AA rosette Restaurant, three commercial hairdressing/barbering salons, four beauty therapy clinics and a Spa. We welcome applicants who can support our continued vision of collaboration across courses and with our industry partners and employers.
The hourly rate includes additional elements for holiday pay, preparation and marking.
