Teacher-Pre-Sessional English

Salary: £35,000 annual FTE, Depending on experience

Contract type: Fixed Term (Until 15th August 2025), Full Time

The International Study Centre-University of Exeter is looking for passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team for an 18-week Pre-Sessional English (PSE) programme, starting on 7 April 2025. In addition to the four subskills, this includes exam skills and language development. The course is a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities and all teaching is conducted face-to-face.

Teachers will deliver lessons to students from different centres and will be required to work with key stakeholders, including progression officers to ensure that students are fully supported with their study plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons (up to 20 hours per week) following the scheme of work.
• Adapt existing materials for live lesson delivery.
• Set and mark homework, providing constructive feedback.
• Support student assessments, including formative and summative feedback.
• Maintain accurate records, including online registers, tutorial notes, and progress reports.
• Participate in programme meetings, training, and professional development.
• Act as a positive ambassador for INTO.
